The Black Bear Resort Hotel on Northern Vancouver island, offers an elegant Port McNeill hotel accommodation situated on the fringe of a natural forest in the heart of Port McNeill.
This stylish cedar property boasts 11 Cabins and 40 tastefully decorated guestrooms each with stunning views of the protected harbour, Malcolm Island, and the coastal mountains of British Columbia's mainland. The Black Bear Resort Hotel has been designed and built to provide maximum comfort for guests regardless of the season.
The Hotel is conveniently situated close to the main shopping centre of Port McNeill, and is handy to various restaurants, and many of the town services including Visitor Information Centre, bank, Post Office, Drug mart, gift stores, galleries, and much more.

Due to COVID-19 our pool & gym area closed until further notice. We have a contactless bagged breakfast option available upon request.
We are practicing social distancing in both our front desk and house keeping departments. Our office is limited to one customer at a time. High touch areas are sanitized regularly. There are shields in place at our front desk. Staff with any cold / flu symptoms are staying home for the 14-day period.
All housekeepers are required to wear masks, and wash hands between rooms. All room surfaces and common touch items are thoroughly sanitized between guests. We are following BC hotel association, BCDCC and WCB Guidelines.
We are not accepting isolation rooms. Anyone who has covid 19 symptoms, required to self isolate or who has a close contact of someone with covid 19 are not to enter our facility.
Housekeeping is only available upon request by notifying the front office or placing the room service sign on your room door.
