We Do Not Wait for late arrivals off BC Ferries. Office closes at 1230 AM.
Fitness Centre is for adults only 19+.
Cancellation Policy: Reservations must be cancelled by 4PM, hotel time (PST), 48 HOURS (2 DAYS) prior to arrival. Reservations not cancelled within this time frame or no-shows will be charged a one night room and tax charge as penalty for each room reserved.
Check In Policy A credit card and photo identification will be required at time of check in. A pre-authorization for room, tax, incidentals will be held on the credit card. The hotel does not accept cash, debit, credit card gift card or debit-credit deposits. Account may be settled at time of check out with credit, cash or debit.
The primary guest must be at least 19 years of age on the day of check-in.
Non-Smoking Policy: The Black Bear Resort is 100% smoke free. Smoking is prohibited on guestroom balconies and within seven meters of all doorways, windows, or air intakes. Any guest found smoking in their room or in common areas will be subject to a fine of $500+tax.
No Pet Policy: No Pets Allowed on premises. A fine of $500+tax will be charged if pets are brought into any of our guest rooms or common buildings or left in vehicles. Service/Guide dogs will be accepted at no cost however therapy/emotional support pets are NOT accepted. Please review Province of British Columbia’s Guide or Service Animal Act.

The pool & gym area closed until further notice. We have a contactless bagged breakfast option available upon request.
We are practicing social distancing in both our front desk and house keeping departments. Our office is limited to one customer at a time. High touch areas are sanitized regularly. There are shields in place at our front desk. Staff with any cold / flu symptoms are staying home for the 14-day period.
All housekeepers are required to wear masks, and wash hands between rooms. All room surfaces and common touch items are thoroughly sanitized between guests. We are following BC hotel association, BCDCC and WCB Guidelines.
We are not accepting isolation rooms. Anyone who has covid 19 symptoms, required to self isolate or who has a close contact of someone with covid 19 are not to enter our facility.
Housekeeping is only available upon request by notifying the front office or placing the room service sign on your room door.
